These Terms govern bookings made with Soča Base Camp, Saša Kovačič s.p., Žagarjeva 7, 5220 Tolmin, Slovenia (hereinafter “we”/”us”). By booking an activity you accept these terms in full.
1. Bookings and payment
Bookings are confirmed only after successful payment via SumUp.
Prices shown include 22% Slovenian VAT where applicable.
Prices do NOT include the Soča River Pass, which is required by Slovenian law for all river activities. Customers must purchase one separately at gosoca.si.
You will receive an email confirmation with a booking reference. Bring this with you on the day.
2. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the activity: full refund.
Cancellations made within 48 hours: non-refundable, but may be rescheduled once at no extra cost (subject to availability).
If we cancel due to weather, water levels or other safety reasons: full refund or free reschedule, your choice.
No-shows are not refunded.
Refunds are processed within 14 working days back to the original payment method.
3. Safety and participant requirements
All participants must sign our liability waiver before the activity. A digital version is sent with your confirmation email.
Participants must be sober (no alcohol or drugs) and physically fit for the activity.
Pregnant guests cannot participate in water activities.
Swimming ability is required for all river activities.
Age limits: Rafting 8+ (min 30 kg). Kayaking 14+. Paragliding 12+ with parental consent (max 100 kg).
Guides have absolute authority to refuse or stop participation if a guest is unfit, intoxicated or refuses to follow safety instructions. No refund will be given in such cases.
4. Liability
Adventure activities involve inherent risk. We carry full operator liability insurance and our guides are licensed professionals. By booking, you acknowledge that:
You participate at your own risk;
You will follow all guide instructions;
We are not liable for personal items lost or damaged during activities;
We are not liable for delays or cancellations caused by force majeure (extreme weather, river closures, government restrictions).
Our liability is limited to the value of the booking, except where Slovenian law mandates broader liability (e.g. gross negligence, personal injury caused by the operator).
5. Travel insurance
We strongly recommend you have personal travel insurance covering adventure sports. Our operator insurance does not extend to your personal medical or trip-cancellation costs.
6. Photos and video
Our guides may take photos or videos during activities. By participating, you grant us the right to use these for promotional purposes. You can request specific images of yourself not be used by emailing us within 30 days of the activity.
7. Group conduct
Disruptive behaviour, harassment of other participants or guides, or actions that endanger the group will result in immediate removal from the activity without refund. We may also report serious incidents to local authorities.
8. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Slovenian law. Disputes shall be resolved by the competent court in Tolmin, Slovenia.
9. Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under Slovenian or EU law. EU residents may use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
